Making the Solidarity Economy Real

The Next System Teach-In at Cal Poly Humboldt

This event will be part of a nationwide series of Next System Teach-Ins being coordinated by the Next System Studies program at George Mason University, which is bringing together students, community members, and organizations to explore bold alternatives to the current economic system.

 

At Cal Poly Humboldt, our focus will be on the Solidarity Economy—highlighting cooperative ownership, community wealth building, and democratic approaches to meeting human needs.

 

Our goals are:

  • Educate and organize around the Solidarity Economy

  • Incubate and grow concrete examples locally

  • Build and strengthen individual and organizational relationships
