We will be examining electoral politics as a tool of systemic change in the face of the current neoliberal crisis and rising authoritarianism. This workshop will feature a video by Dr. Butch Ware, Green Party candidate for California Governor, examining the ideological orientation and strategies of revolutionaries such as Malcolm X. The workshop will discuss debate around electoral politics as a strategy for change, examining success, shortcomings, and the hegemonic grip capitalism and the duopoly has over our electoral system.
